I live in Reigate, Surrey and I have been painting for over 25 years in watercolours and more recently in oils and acrylics. My main inspirations are boats and landscapes but just about any subject which has atmosphere, movement, colour. I also paint people and places which inspire whilst out for the day or travelling both in the UK and abroad. I aim for a loose interpretation of the subject, without too much detail to keep the painting fresh and spontaneous – even though generally done in the studio. I am a member of the North Weald Art Group, the Dorking Group of Artists, the Maritime Art Group and Artists in the Public Service. I exhibit with these groups in the Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking, the Menier Gallery in London, and the Brokers Bar Leadenhall Market, London.
